With medical cannabis legally available for patients since 2017 (but CBD & hemp regulations are „all over the place“ – which we are happy to discuss!) Germany has developed a yet young but vibrant new cannabis-industry.

With the recently  established laws (in April 2024) and a new government coalition on the horizon  for 2025 our industry is keeping fingers on the puls of time and we have more need to meet then ever –  because a nation wide boom for the industry is not a promise but a fact!

In der Antike war Cannabis eines der am häufigsten benutzten Heilmittel. Es fand gegen eine Vielzahl von Beschwerden Verwendung und war in der Apotheke bis zum Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts hinein für ebenso vielfältige Zwecke erhältlich. Es war über lange Zeit ein Alltagsheilmittel, etwa mit dem Stellenwert von Aspirin vergleichbar, bis zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts ein Krieg gegen den Hanf begann und dieser gänzlich aus der Medizin verschwand.

Wer bereits in den Jahren 2017 und 2018 Cannabis als Medizin verordnet bekam, erinnert sich sicher noch daran, dass Cannabismedikamente manchmal Mangelware gewesen sind. Von der Auswahl, die wir jetzt in den Apotheken finden, konnte man damals nur träumen.

Heute ist das anders. Manche auf Cannabis spezialisierte Apotheke führt ein riesiges Sortiment von Blüten und anderen Cannabismedikamenten, sodass unerfahrene Patienten sich kaum orientieren und für sich das passende finden können. Tatsächlich ist das Überangebot an medizinischem Cannabis so groß, dass eine große Menge davon nie einen Patienten erreicht, sondern vernichtet werden muss.

In einer Anhörung des Gesundheitsausschusses haben sich Experten mit Anträgen der Opposition zum Umgang mit Cannabis geäußert. Dabei vertraten Sachverständige die Auffassung, dass der Zugang zu Medizinalcannabis vereinfacht werden sollte. Zugleich befürworteten Fachleute eine Entkriminalisierung von Cannabis, allerdings bevorzugt als Übergang hin zu einer umfassenden Legalisierung der Droge.

Hamburg. Im Hanfstieg in Lurup wird derzeit ein Haus aus Hanf gebaut – Zufall oder ein Marketing-Witz? Weder noch. Als Familie Gifaldi zusammen mit den Großeltern den Bau eines Mehrgenerationenhauses plante und ein Grundstück im Hanfstieg erworben hatte, regte die Schwester der Großmutter an, doch auch mit Hanf zu bauen.
